There is a feature in certain larger gas barbecues which will use three burners and have the option to use just one while cooking. This option would allow larger gas grills to service a smaller number of people, and by only using one burner it will save you from using excess gas.

Also avoid abrasive cleaning agents as they will increase the rate of corrosion on your stainless steel barbecue. Use kitchen appliance cleaners as they will not harm the steel. Another problem with the stainless barbecues is heat. Heat will cause the steel to discolor or splotch. To avoid this, do not keep the barbecue on high temperatures for long periods of time.
